Jane A. Delano biography

Born on March 12, 1862, in Montour Falls, New York, Jane A. Delano went on to graduate from Bellevue's School of Nursing. She later became nursing superintendent for a number of U.S. organizations and institutions, and, via her Red Cross leadership, would be responsible for the deployment and training of thousands of nurses overseas during World War I. Delano died on April 15, 1919, in Savenay, France.
