Born on October 9, 1948, in Heidelberg, Germany, Jackson Browne was the son of an American serviceman stationed overseas. Browne began singing folk music in his teens and later moved to Greenwich Village in New York City, where he joined the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. In 1972, he released his debut solo album, featuring the hit "Doctor My Eyes." He also wrote hit songs for the Eagles, including 'Take It Easy.' Browne was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004.
