I.A.L. Diamond was a Romanian-born American screenwriter who worked extensively with director Bill Wilder, a partnership that lasted 30 years. He wrote scripts for Some Like it Hot (1959), Love in the Afternoon (1957), and The Apartment (1960), among many others. His scripts often explored the male-female relationship - using witty dialogue in sexual scenes.
