Henry VII of Germany biography

Born in 1211, in Sicily, Henry VII, son of emperor Frederick II, was crowned king of his home state at the age of 1. He became German king by the early 1220s, though, amidst geopolitical instability, he would eventually join with the Lombard League in an uprising against his father during the 1230s. Henry was captured and later imprisoned in Calabria, where he died on February 12, 1242.
