Henry R. Luce biography
Born on April 3, 1898, in Dengzhou, China, Henry R. Luce attended Yale and worked as a reporter before co-founding Time, a newsweekly magazine with an innovative format. He would go on to launch Fortune, Life and Sports Illustrated, all of which would succeed and greatly shape the U.S. publishing landscape. Luce was married to playwright and politician Clare Booth. He died on February 28, 1967.
