Profile
Born on December 12, 1912, in Columbus, Mississippi, Henry Armstrong pursued pro boxing in his youth and, by 1938, simultaneously held world championship titles in the featherweight, welterweight and lightweight divisions—becoming the first boxer to hold world championship titles in three weight classes at a single point in time. He died on October 22, 1988, in Los Angeles, California.
