The couple worked on another remake, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2005) starring Johnny Depp. She also lent her voice to the title character of Burton's dark animated tale, Corpse Bride (2005).
In 2007, Bonham Carter co-starred in Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street with Johnny Depp, which was directed by Burton. The film was an adaptation of a popular musical and both lead actors performed their own songs for the movie. Around this time, Bonham Carter and Burton also expanded their family. The couple welcomed their second child in December of that year.
Outside of her work with Burton, Bonham Carter most recently appeared in the box office hit, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (2007), the latest installment of the film adaptations of J. K. Rowling's best-selling Harry Potter book series.
