American playwright George S. Kaufman co-wrote a number of Broadway hits, two of which received Pulitzer Prizes.
Born in Pittsburgh in 1889, playwright George S. Kaufman co-wrote many Broadway hits, including You Can't Take It with You (1936) and The Man Who Came to Dinner (1939). Two of his collaboratively written plays won Pulitzer Prizes.
