Don King first came to prominence with his promotion of the 1974 “Rumble in the Jungle” bout between Muhammad Ali and George Foreman in Zaire, which was a huge TV event and launched King’s career. He also promoted the fights of such boxers as Sugar Ray Leonard, Mike Tyson, and Evander Holyfield. A number of boxers, however, including Tyson, felt defrauded by King and sued him.
