A character actor for years, Debra Jo Rupp stole the spotlight as the incredibly upbeat Kitty Forman, a wife and mother, on the sitcom That '70s Show. She started out as a stage actress and later won raves with her performance as Mae in the 1990 production of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, starring Kathleen Turner. Since 2010, she has appeared on the TV sitcom Better With You.

On television and in films, Rupp scored a number of memorable small parts during the 1980s and 1990s. She appeared on several episodes of Seinfeld and played Phoebe??s sister-in-law on the hit comedy Friends. Rupp was soon a star in her own right.
'That '70s Show'
That '70s Show premiered in 1998, winning over viewers with its humor, fun, nostalgia and heart. Rupp's character was an important part of that success, playing the warm, encouraging wife of Red (Kurtwood Smith) and mother of teenagers Eric (Topher Grace) and Laurie (Lisa Robin Kelly). Both Red and Kitty were somewhat out of touch with the times and had to respond all of the goings-on of their son and his friends. The show lasted for eight years, ending its long run in 2006.
Rupp had a role in the 2007 comedy Kickin It Old Skool. In it, she plays the mother of a coma victim who wakes up after 20 years, thinking it's still the 1980s. She is currently starring on the sitcom, Better With You.
