Identified with punk and new wave, David Byrne’s band, the Talking Heads, released their debut album, Talking Heads '77, in 1977. It was followed by releases that reflected Byrne's interest in experimental pop and African rhythms, including Speaking in Tongues and Stop Making Sense. Later solo releases include Uh-Oh and Everything That Happens Will Happen Today, a collaboration with Brian Eno.
