Claus Von Bulow was born April 11, 1926. Accused of twice attempting to kill his diabetic wife with doses of insulin, he was found guilty of attempted murder, but the verdict was overturned after an appeal by attorney Alan Dershowitz. The wife slipped into two mysterious comas a year apart; she lived in a vegetative state until she died in 2008. In 1991, Von Bulow relocated back to England.

Born Claus Cecil Borberg on April 11, 1926, this businessman of Austrian-American descent made headlines when he was accused of attempting to murder his wife, socialite Sunny Von Bulow (1932-), in the mid-1980s. Von Bulow, accused of twice attempting to kill his diabetic wife with doses of insulin, was found guilty of attempted murder,but the verdict was overturned after an appeal designed by prominent, if controversial Harvard professor and attorney Alan Dershowitz. Sunny Von Bulow slipped into two mysterious comas a year apart; she has not yet awoken from the second which occurred in 1980. The 1990 film Reversal of Fortune is based on this case. In 1991, Von Bulow relocated back to England.
