Actor Claude Rains was born in London, England. In his thirty year career, he appeared in close to sixty films. He was nominated for four Academy Awards: Best Supporting Actor for Mr. Smith Goes to Washington (1939), Best Supporting Actor for Casablanca (1942 ), Best Supporting Actor for Mr. Skeffington (1944), Best Supporting Actor for Notorious (1946).
