Casimir Périer biography

Casimir Périer was born on October 21, 1777, in Grenoble, France. He served with the French army from 1789 to 1801. After which, he founded a bank with his brother in Paris. He opposed the government’s reliance on foreign banks. He became the president of the Chamber of Deputies under King Louis-Philippe’s rule. He was politically important and controversial in France. He died in 1832 from cholera.
