Born on September 7, 1913, in Ainsdale, England, Sir Anthony Quayle pursued a stage and screen career, becoming known for several of his war dramas. He worked in classic epics like Lawrence of Arabia and Anne of the Thousand Days, for which he received an Oscar nomination, and TV projects like The Story of David and Lace. He was also known for his voiceover work. Quayle died on October 20, 1989.
