Anne Moody is an African-American author whose writings about her personal and political struggles during the American Civil Rights Movement became classic.
Anne Moody is an African-American author who very involved in the American Civil Rights Movement. After graduating college, she became a full-time activist, participating in a Woolworth's lunchcounter sit-in and protests in the 1960s. Becoming disenchanted with aspects of the movement, she focused on writing what became her now-famous autobiography, Coming of Age in Mississippi.
