Alice Munro biography

Alice Munro was born on July 10, 1931 in Wingham, Ontario, Canada. She attended the University of Western Ontario and, after two years, left school and moved to Vancouver, British Columbia. Her first collection of stories was published as Dance of the Happy Shades. In 2009 Munro won the Man Booker International Prize; that same year she published the short-story collection Too Much Happiness.
