Alexei Nikolaevich was born circa August 12, 1904, in Peterhof, Russia. He was only son of Nicholas II, the last tsar of Russia, and the tsarina Alexandra Feodorovna. Anastasia was one of his four sisters. Alexei was frail of health and suffered from hemophilia, which the monk Rasputin seemed able to treat. He was killed by the Bolsheviks along with his entire family during the Russian Revolution.
