Profile

Tony Pérez began playing for the Cincinnati Reds in 1965 and was a key member of the Big Red Machine, as the Reds teams during the 1970s were known. Sometimes overshadowed by other teammates such as Joe Morgan, Johnny Bench and Pete Rose, Pérez was known as the ultimate team player. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2000, becoming only the second Cuban to be enshrined in the Hall.
