Tom Landry was an American football player and coach who began his professional career playing for the New York Giants. Landry became coach of the Cowboys in 1960, and in his first season they won no games. The Cowboys then went on to 20 consecutive winning seasons. They competed in two NFL championship games and five Super Bowls. In 1990 he was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
