Profile

Titus was a Roman emperor (79–81), the elder son and successor of Vespasian. Titus was a well-respected military commander before replacing his father on the throne. He served Rome for just two years before dying of a fever. His works while in office included completing the Colosseum, responding to the the Mount Vesuvius eruption of 79, and taking care of his people after a fire in Rome in 80.
