Stuart Collett was born January 8, 1887. A student of divinity, 25-year-old Stuart Collett embarked on the Titanic at Southampton on April 10, 1912. After the great ship hit an iceberg, he negotiated a seat on lifeboat 9 by claiming to be in charge of two young women. After his rescue, Collett returned to England, married and had three children. He died on May 8, 1941.

After the crash, he negotiated a seat on lifeboat 9 by claiming to be in charge of two young women. After his rescue, Collett returned to England, married and had three children. He died on May 8, 1941.
