Profile

Steven Weinberg is a U.S. physicist who in 1979 shared the Nobel Prize for Physics with Sheldon Lee Glashow and Abdus Salam for work in formulating the electroweak theory. Weinberg was able to show that despite their apparent dissimilarities, photons and bosons are actually members of the same family of particles. He has taught at several Ivy league schools, including Columbia, MIT and Harvard.
