American businessman Steve Forbes worked as a researcher for his father's magazine, Forbes, until 1973, when he was given a column. After the death of his father in 1990, he became the CEO of the company and editor in chief of the magazine. Forbes has twice ran as a candidate for the nomination of the Republican Party for U.S. president (1996, 2000). In 2006, he joined the board of FreedomWorks.
