Synopsis

Shirley Muldowney, the "First Lady of Drag Racing," was the first woman to receive a license from the National Hot Rod Association to drive a top fuel dragster. As a girl, she had no interest in school and wanted only to race the streets. She won the NHRA Top Fuel championship in 1977, 1980 and 1982 and has won 18 NHRA national events. She has been called "Cha Cha," a nickname she despises.
