Shannon Tweed was born on March 10, 1957, in St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada. A Playboy Playmate of the Year in 1982, her pin-up fame led to film and television roles on Falcon Crest and Days of Our Lives. Tweed has two children with KISS rocker Gene Simmons and the couple was married in 2011. Tweed's 2006 autobiography is entitled Kiss and Tell and she starred on the reality show Gene Simmons Family Jewels (2006-12).

Personal Life

For more than twenty years, Shannon Tweed had been in a relationship with rocker Gene Simmons—a "happily unmarried" couple as they have been quoted as saying. They have two children, Nick and Sophie. In 2006, the family stepped into the media spotlight with their own reality show Gene Simmons Family Jewels. While some critics were not impressed, audiences have enjoyed this inside look of the domestic life of a rock icon and a beautiful actress as they raise their teenage children and handle their business affairs. Not the average family, the couple got facelifts at the same time, which was featured in the show's second season.

Along with being a mother and actress, Shannon Tweed has added writer to her list of accomplishments. In 2006, she shared her experiences in her autobiography, Kiss and Tell.

Tweed and Simmons got married on October 1, 2011, in Beverly Hills, California.
