Samuel Taylor Coleridge was an English poet, most famous for The Rime of the Ancient Mariner. He and is friend William Wordsworth founded the Romantic Movement in England. His critical literary work on Shakespeare was widely influential, and he coined several familiar phrases, including "suspension of disbelief."
