Guitarist, singer, and composer, Sacha Distel was born in Paris in 1933. Sacha became the talk of the town after dating actress Brigitte Bardot. His song ‘Des pommes et des scoubidous’ brought him huge success, and initiated a craze among young people who began plaiting plastic threads - ‘scoubidous’. Other hit songs of his include ‘Oh, quelle nuit’ and ‘Mon beau chapeau’.
