British photographer Patrick Anson, 5th Earl of Lichfield, achieved success in travel and publicity work as well as in many personal royal portraits, and in 1991 produced Elizabeth R: A Photographic Celebration of 40 Years. He created the well-known Unipart calendar, and has published many books, including his autobiography, Not the Whole Truth (1986).

Professional Career

British photographer Thomas Patrick John Anson, 5th Earl of Lichfield, was born on April 2, 1939, in Staffordshire, England. He went to Sandhurst Military Academy, served in the Grenadier Guards (1959–'62) and became a photographer. He has achieved success in travel and publicity work as well as in many personal royal portraits, and in 1991 produced Elizabeth R: A Photographic Celebration of 40 Years. He created the well-known Unipart calendar, and has published many books, including his autobiography, Not the Whole Truth (1986).
