Profile
Convicted murderer. Born Pamela Wojas on August 16, 1967 in Coral Gables, Florida. Twenty-two-year-old Pamela Smart was a pretty, popular teacher at Winnacunnet High School in Hampton, New Hampshire. In May 1990, she convinced her 15-year-old student and lover, Billy Flynn, to kill her husband, Gregory Smart. Flynn and his accomplices. Patrick Randall and Vince Lattime, Jr., killed Pamela?s husband execution-style in his home and made it look like a robbery.The three young men struck a deal with prosecutors and were sentenced to prison terms in exchange for testimony that Pamela had instigated the plot. She was convicted of the crime in March 1991 and sentenced to life in prison without parole. She is serving her sentence in New York and maintains her innocence.
Smart?s story was the basis for director Gus Van Sant?s 1995 film To Die For starring Nicole Kidman.
