Early Life and Career
Actress Lesley Ann Warren was born on August 16, 1946, in New York City. A dedicated ballet student from a young age, Warren trained at the School of American Ballet before entering the Actors Studio at the age of 17. In 1963, she made her Broadway debut in the musical 110 in the Shade. Two years later, she starred in the television production of Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella (1965).
Later TV Success
Warren's extensive TV career has included roles on the series Mission Impossible (1971), S.W.A.T. (1975), Snip (1976) and, more recently, Will & Grace (2001-2006), Crossing Jordan (2002, 2005) and Desperate Housewives (2005-2011), in which she played Susan's mother, Sophie Bremmer. She's also appeared in numerous TV movies, including Apology (1986), Baja Oklahoma (1988), Murderous Intent (1995), Wolf Girl (2001), Recipe for Disaster (2003) and Bound by a Secret (2009).
Film Roles
Warren has also appeared on the big screen in such films as 1967's The Happiest Millionaire; 1971's Cat Ballou; 1982's Victor Victoria; 1992's Pure Country, in which she played Lula Rogers; 1994's Color of Night, in which she played Sondra and co-starred with actor Bruce Willis; 1999's The Limey; and 2002's Secretary.
More recently, the actress starred in the comedic drama Peep World (2010) alongside Taraji P. Henson, Rainn Wilson and Sarah Silverman, and landed the role of Clara Jobs in Jobs, the 2013 biopic of Apple co-founder Steve Jobs starring Ashton Kutcher. The latter film also stars James Woods, Matthew Modine, Dermot Mulroney and Josh Gad.
Personal Life
Lesley Ann Warren married producer Jon Peters in 1967. The couple had a son, Christopher, before divorcing in 1974. She is currently married to advertising executive Ron Taft, whom she wed in 2000.
