Although the tone of his major writings in the 1920s was occasionally skeptical, he did not directly challenge the conventional wisdom of the period that favored laissez-faire. But his opinions did foreshadow the theoretical revolution he triggered in the 1930s with his work, The General Theory of Employment, Interest and Money.
