Early Life

Born on November 8, 1985, in London, England, Jack Joseph Osbourne is the son of rock legend Ozzy Osbourne and Sharon Osbourne. He has two older sisters, Aimee and Kelly, and grew up in Buckinghamshire, intermittently spending time touring with his parents. At the age of 10, Jack was diagnosed with Attention Deficit Disorder. In 1997, his family moved to Beverly Hills, and Jack was enrolled at Park Century School, a special-needs school in Culver City, California.

At the age of 15, Jack was hired as a junior talent scout by Epic Records, and he spent two years meeting up-and-coming musicians at clubs around Los Angeles.

Reality-Television Star

It wasn't until March 2002 that Jack Osbourne was introduced to American audiences, courtesy of the MTV reality show The Osbournes, which won an Emmy Award in its first year. For four seasons, Jack and his family engaged in eccentric—and often profanity-laced—behavior. In 2013 he made headlines when he sought treatment for an addiction to OxyContin. "I want to be in control of my life," he revealed in an interview. "I was really loaded and I just sat on my mom's bed and I just said, 'I am going to go pack my bags, I'm, I'm ready to go. I want to go, I need to go.'" Jack later told the media that he had been drinking and using drugs ever since he was 13.

After The Osbournes ended in 2005, Jack had cameo appearances on a number of network shows. He and his family also appeared in Austin Powers: Goldmember. He subsequently starred on two reality shows, Extreme Celebrity Detox and Jack Osbourne: Adrenaline Junkie. In September 2013, he competed as one of the contestants on Dancing with the Stars, partnering with Cheryl Burke.

Personal Life

In May 2012, Jack was at a Los Angeles gas station when he noticed a black dot in his field of vision. The next morning, the black dot had turned into a cigar shape and soon he lost all his central vision in his right eye. After a series of tests, Jack was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. About coping with the disease, he explained, "I appreciate things more. I don't know how long things will be as good as they are. It can become a progressive disease, though, and if it gets bad, the decline can be rapid. That's why I don't want to say my diagnosis was a good thing, but it has definitely put things into perspective."

In October 2012, Jack married Lisa Stelly, an aspiring actress. The couple have one daughter together, Pearl.
