George Blanda was born on Sept 17, 1927, in Youngwood, Pennsylvania. He played football for the University of Kentucky before turning pro. He played quarterback and kicker for the Chicago Bears, Houston Oilers and the Oakland Raiders for a record-setting 26 total seasons. He retired in 1976 and died in 2010.
