Frederick I was born on July 11, 1657, in Königsberg, Prussia. He became the first king of Prussia in 1701 after signing a treaty with Austria. He served for 13 years and remained loyal to Austria during the War of the Spanish Succession. The University of Halle was founded under his rule, expanding Prussia’s cultural significance. He died in 1713.
