Edwin Moses (born August 31, 1955) began running the 400-meter hurdles in 1976 at Morehouse College. That same year, he won Olympic gold and set the world record for the event. From 1977 to 1987 he was unbeatable. Moses turned to bobsledding in the early 1990s, then entered sports administration, with a focus on drug testing.
