Personal Life

Dexter Holland studied microbiology at the University of Southern California, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in biology and a master's degree in molecular biology. He earned his nickname, "Dexter," from colleagues when he was a student due to his studious nature and high grades in school. He is also a licensed pilot and once flew around the world in 10 days. Additionally, he owns the spicy condiment brand "Gringo Bandito Hot Sauce."

Holland is married to Kristine Luna and has one daughter, musician Lex Land (born Alexa Holland).
