Charles Brown was an American blues singer. During his early 20s, he moved from Texas to Los Angeles, equipped with classical training in piano. In the 1940s, his smooth, quiet voice spoke to the cool, urban audience of his day. His biggest hits were "Trouble Blues and "Black Night." He toured with Bonnie Raitt in 1990 and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame after in 1999.
