Although Charles H. Best was born in the United States, he moved to Toronto in the province of Ontario in 1915. He spent much of his life there studying and even serving in the Canadian Army. He passed away on March 31, 1978. Just two years later, Ryan Gosling made his debut appearance into the world in London, Ontario.
