It’s not always easy being a southpaw living in a right-handed world, but today is a day to celebrate sinistrality (a.k.a. left-handedness.) Scientists aren’t sure what drives someone to use their left hand, but lefties reportedly make up about 10 percent of the population and are often credited with being more adept at examining situations creatively.
