This tale of deception, infidelity, and cold-blooded murder on the Thames was shot on location at the picturesque Henley Royal Regatta. During the Midsomer Regatta, an annual series of rowing races on the River Thames, the dead body of a leading member of the Midsomer Rowing Club, Guy Sweetman, is found in the water. Dastardly deeds are afoot, and as Barnaby investigates Sweetman's watery end he soon finds some young bloods whose stories do not seem to add up. Meanwhile, the complicated love lives of the gorgeous Hettie Trent and the elegant Claire Bonavita seem to be closely linked with the murder investigation. With the wind of suspicion in their sails, Barnaby and Scott must piece together their disparate clues before they discover another victim is sleeping with the fishes. With John Nettles as Barnaby, Daniel Casey as his partner, and Jane Wymark as his wife.
