Star NFL wide-receiver and troublemaker Plaxico Burress is making a comeback as big as his reputation. The 34-year-old has signed a contract to join the New York Jets to the tune of about $3 million for one year of play. Burress was sentenced to two years in prison after he accidentally shot himself in the right thigh at a New York City nightclub in November 2008. He was released on June 6 of this year. Burress was previously signed to the New York Giants, where he helped lead the team to their 2007 Super Bowl victory. Burress showed up for the first day of training camp on Monday.
