The producers at BIO.com review hundreds of photos of famous figures each week, from award-winning actors and popular singers, to headliners and scandal makers. While we're digging through these archives, we often come across amazing photos that we're just dying to share. So, without further ado, here's the one image that stands out to us this week:

This week we look back at everyone's favorite neighborhood and beloved daytime TV neighbor, Mister Fred Rogers who passed away on February 27th, 2003 at the age of 75.

Over the course of the 33-year run of his show, Mister Rogers' Neighborhood, Rogers introduced us to a wide array of puppets in the Neighborhood of Make-Believe and wore over two dozen different zip-up sweaters that were all made by his mother.

As a pioneer in the world of children's television, Mister Rogers worked to create programming that nurtured young minds. He noted that the world is not the kindest of places, saying the harsh realities are "something all children learn for themselves, whether we want them to or not, but it's something they really need our help to understand."

Thankfully, at least for a little while, we had Mister Rogers teach us how to make sense of it.
