Michael Jackson, long known for his generosity with his megamillions, is giving even in death. His estate will distribute $30 million to his mother and his three children, according to papers filed by the estate's executors on Tuesday.
Jackson's children, Paris, Prince, and Michael Joseph Jr., or Blanket, were left in the care of the singer's mother, Katherine Jackson. Court papers also indicated that Katherine Jackson has put up for sale the family's $4.15 million ranch in Encino, California.
When Michael Jackson died in June 2009, the King of Pop was deeply in debt. An enormous boom in Jackson record sales after his death played no small part in turning his finances around. Along with debt refinancing and Jackson's interest in the Sony/ATV music catalog, which contains portions of the Beatles catalog, his estate has earned over $310 million dollars in the past two years.
