Right after graduation, John Slattery moved to New York City to pursue acting. Since then he has landed a series of roles in television, film and theater. Decades earlier, Louis Brandeis was busy as a successful lawyer and associate justice of the U.S. Supreme Court, and he became known as the people’s lawyer due to his devotion to public causes. Aside from their eerily similar looks, they share a little in common. Take a look:

The 13th
Both Brandeis and Slattery were born on the 13th. Louis Brandeis was born on November 13, 1856, and John Slattery was born on August 13, 1962.

30 and Single?
Brandeis wed Alice Goldmark on March 23, 1891, when he was 34. Slattery married his wife, Talia Balsam, on December 30, 1998, at age 36.

Boston Roots
Shortly after graduating from Harvard Law School, Brandeis settled in Boston, Massachusetts. Slattery was born and raised there.
