This Sunday, February 12, is the 54th Annual Grammys. Each year, the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences honors outstanding achievements in the music industry. The first Grammys were awarded on May 4, 1959, in an attempt to honor some of the music executives behind chart-topping hits. The awards will change this year in a few ways, including the reduction in categories, from 109 to 78.
