Television icon Dick Clark died this morning from a massive heart attack at St. John’s hospital in Los Angeles following an outpatient procedure the night before. According to reports, Clark could not be resuscitated.
The New Year’s Rockin’ Eve host was in failing health after suffering from a major stroke in 2004, which caused him to relinquish his hosting duties. His successor, Ryan Seacrest, took the reigns in 2006, although Clark made appearances on every show since then.
