Two celebrities are better than one—which is why it's so enjoyable to watch stars tie the knot. Celebrity weddings are often lavish and expensive, but the real draw is the happy couple. From a reality wedding to a royal wedding, here are the five biggest celebrity weddings of 2011.

Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries

The closest thing America got to a royal wedding this year was the wedding of reality star Kim Kardashian to NBA player Kris Humphries. The couple's wedding was televised for the world to see in a four hour special, and reportedly netted them $25 million. After 72 days of wedded bliss, Kardashian filed for divorce.

Prince William and Kate Middleton

The most anticipated wedding of the year by far was the royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton. The couple met as college freshmen in 2001, and Middleton earned the nickname "Waity Katie" for the long courtship. Her patience paid off, though, when Will gave her a ring in November 2010. Their April wedding was televised, with 300 million spectators around the world.

Gene Simmons and Shannon Tweed

After 28 years together, KISS frontman Gene Simmons tied the knot with former model Shannon Tweed. Simmons proposed in front of the cameras on Gene Simmons Family Jewels, after famously vowing that he would never get married. The couple has two kids together.

Rachel Weisz and Daniel Craig

One of Hollywood's big surprises this year was the marriage of Rachel Weisz and Daniel Craig. The Bond star and the British actress met on the set of Dream House in early 2011. They dated under the radar for six months, before making it official in a small ceremony in June. Both have children from previous relationships.

Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert

Like a romance in a country song, Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert fell in love at first sight. Shelton was married when he met fellow Nashville singer Miranda Lambert at the CMT's 100 Greatest Duets Concert in 2005, but he got divorced a year later. Shelton and Lambert dated for four years before getting engaged. They married in Texas in May 2011.
