Helen Mirren Has the Body of the Year
August 2, 2011 by Leila TahaIs 60 the new 20? The 66-year-old British actress Helen Mirren won "Body of the Year" in a 2,000-person survey by an L.A. gym. Mirren beat out competitors Jennifer Lopez, Pippa Middleton and Elle MacPherson for the title. Mirren, who won an Oscar in 2006 for playing Queen Elizabeth in The Queen, garnered 18 percent of the vote, compared with runner-up MacPherson’s 10 percent. Fans first took note of the esteemed actress’ fit physique in 2008, when a photo showed her in a red bikini. Mirren is currently working in New York, shooting a biopic about the notorious producer Phil Spector.
