Russell Brand Pens Letter to Amy Winehouse
July 26, 2011 by Jennifer BallDozens of stars have spoken out in the wake of Amy Winehouse's death, including Ashton Kutcher, Eva Longoria and Rihanna. But none expressed their feelings as poignantly as comedian Russell Brand. "Whether this tragedy was preventable or not is now irrelevant. It is not preventable today," said Brand, a self-professed former addict. "We have lost a beautiful and talented woman to this disease." Brand's open letter about Winehouse went viral this week, as news outlets await the final results of Winehouse's autopsy.
